# Debt Collection Regulation in Hong Kong

Hong Kong has no dedicated debt collector licence. Agencies operate as registered companies, and the Money Lenders Ordinance applies where lending is involved. The HKMA requires authorised institutions to control the conduct of collection agents they appoint.
